General Manager Issa Tall expressed excitement about hosting Ecuador, emphasizing the quality of the Crew's performance center. The facility, which opened in June 2021, spans over 42,000 square feet and includes state-of-the-art amenities designed for player development. Ecuador's Head Coach Sebastián Beccacece praised Columbus as a perfect environment for the team's preparation. The Crew's facility will serve as Ecuador's training site starting May 25, as they gear up for their fifth World Cup appearance. Ecuador, having finished second in the South American qualifiers, will compete in Group E against Côte d'Ivoire, Curaçao, and Germany. The Crew's training center has previously hosted various top clubs and national teams, showcasing its reputation in the soccer community.
